We have 2 ranges - Eco kitchens and Colonial kitchens.  The Eco is on a generic 18 mm white carcass, you upgrade hinges and drawers to soft close. All units are flat packed. The Colonial can come ready assembled with a choice of 5 coloured carcasses, All base ,and wall units can be rigid carcass. Tall units will always be flat packed. Blum soft close door hinges and drawers as standard.

We can offer ready assembled Colonial base and wall units

We can offer that we can check off his delivery to avoid as much as possible any missing items. We can also deal with any damages as we get 2 delivery days per week if required. The factory is only 1 hour drive from us for any urgent items.

We can deliver when he wants it with at least 5 days notice.

We can also give the tradesman a full retail quote for his customer (not showing his trade discount allowing him to mark up the cost of goods). A low deposit to secure the deal with full payment made before delivery.

 

The trade can also open up an account where we can credit a portion of the discount-saving allowing accrued savings to be used to purchase goods. We can split the discount value between the customer and the tradesman.

 

We can also prepare the cad drawings for the customer by our Kitchen Design Expert and formally present the design to the customer saving the tradesman time and money.

Making the decision to buy a new kitchen is exciting and sometimes a little daunting, as it represents a substantial investment. The kitchen really is the heart of the home for many families today so here are a few practical tips to help with those important decisions.

 

Firstly, have a good clear-out, many of us are guilty of hanging onto things we haven’t used for years – just in case we might need them!

 

Now take a look around your existing kitchen and make a list of all the things you like and dislike about it. Use this to create your own wish list. Everyone has their personal priorities whether it’s colour, storage, layout -what are yours?

 

Do you want your appliances in a different place? If you’re planning a major move around, you need to ensure that plumbing and electricity supplies are in place before flooring is laid. Have you got plug points for any new appliances?

 

Underfloor heating is a popular choice for kitchens as radiators can take up valuable space. If you’re opting for underfloor heating, this will also need to be installed prior to laying the kitchen floor.

Light is really important when you’re cooking so secondary lighting, such as spotlights above cooking and preparation areas, needs to be considered.

 

And remember, it’s important to set a budget. Prolong the life of your kitchen by investing in things that have to work the hardest - ovens, hobs, worktops and, although you can’t see them, the carcasses on cabinets. Flimsy cabinets won’t last long – better to choose a cheaper door.

 

Finally, to give you some food for thought, here are some of the current kitchen trends: Dark blue as an accent colour teamed with white or grey, industrial finishes like concrete, teal cabinets for a retro look, built in wine rooms (sounds good to me!), open shelving (that should divide opinion!) no handles.

We are looking for an experienced and conscientious person, with a good approach to dealing with customers, to join our team as a Buildings Installer.  Based in our Garden Buildings section, you will spend much of the year installing our timber buildings (sheds and summer houses).  Other aspects of the job include laying concrete and flag bases and some fencing work. General building experience is essential and a background of working in the landscaping sector would be an advantage.  A full driving licence is required and the successful candidate must have the ability to use initiative and complete jobs to a high standard, within set timescales. This is a full-time role and some weekend working will be required.  Salary dependent on experience, uniform and PPE provided.

• Installation of a variety of timber buildings

 

• Laying garage bases

 

• Dismantling of old buildings

Broadoak Home and Garden supplied the full bathroom suite, tiles and Karndean flooring. The bathroom was superbly transformed to a fabulous level of workmanship by one of our contractor partners who installed the tiles, floor to ceiling and laid the Karndean click flooring. The finishing touches make this project, we love the 3D light sensor mirror and integrated bathroom television.

Throughout the project, Dan, our tile and bathroom director gave the contractor's customer all the help and advice they needed along the way. #teamwork

When we supplied 8 tonnes of Golden Gravel decorative aggregates to a house in Caton, Lancaster a few months ago, little did we know that the gravel we delivered would contain a fossil hunter’s paradise. The hoard was brought to our attention in an article seen in the Westmorland Gazette newspaper earlier this month, some of the fossils found include sea shells, seed pods along with dinosaur teeth and bones, they can all be seen in the newspaper article shown below.

 

Golden gravel is our best selling decorative aggregate, we sell hundreds of tonnes of this product every year which makes us contemplate that your gravel driveway could be like a fossil graveyard too, let us know if you are fortunate enough to find any (please send you’re photographs!)

The commencement of the construction of the "Bay Gateway" in May 2014 brought massive changes to Broadoak, the new road planned would be built straight through our old show site. We had to move! We found a fantastic option at our current location on Southgate on White Lund Ind Estate, just a stones-throw away from Sunnycliffe Retail Park (Matalan). Today our site includes a brand new tiles and bathroom showroom, shed and leisure building show-site and a vast range of key landscaping products and  supplies, we are very proud of what we have created and will continue to develop the site by adding a new, larger shop in the next couple of weeks. In early 2017 we will add a kitchen showroom to our portfolio.

The week after the completion of "The Bay Gateway" is already having a positive impact here at Broadoak HQ, we can't believe the improvements, we can now deliver much more efficiently to once difficult to reach areas. The improved traffic movement enhances our already excellent service, our delivery capacity has increased as a result.

The NEW ROAD also means that a visit to our Showroom and Leisure Buildings Show-site has become so much easier, we're just 7 minutes drive from junction 34 of the M6!
